Threats to the Delaware Bay

Delaware Bay takes care of us and is a source of inspiration, recreation, rejuvenation and discovery. It is also an important element in our cultural heritage and history. Yet, today the Bay is in trouble. Our bay faces threats of pollution, endangered populations, erosion, and more.

Other stresses to the Bay include incompatible development, unsustainable agriculture, climate change, altered hydrological regime, clearing of coastal forests, oil and hazardous material spills and invasive species.
